I could tell you about some amazing things I’ve been able to do and be a part of, making myself look really good, professional, and like I have everything together. But really, I’m a woman, a wife, mom, daughter, and friend who wants to be the best I can be and need help getting there. That’s why I’m doing this. Yes, I have a Master’s in Counseling. Yes, I’m a certified Life Coach, I’ve been in the business world, non-profit world, and church world. I’ve travelled the world and done some public speaking. But by far, the best (and hardest) thing I’ve ever done is be Mommie. Really, I’m just a woman and mom who desperately wants to get out of survival mode, (i.e. counting down to bedtime, stressing out at the thought of dinner, tired of dealing with mommie guilt…etc., etc.). I know God has more for me. Jesus didn’t say, “I have come that you may barely survive…” Can anyone relate?
I am married to a wonderful man and have two beautiful, spirited little girls. There are no wall flowers in my family. They deserve the best part of me. I’m also a woman with interests and dreams that have nothing to do with being Mommie. Does that mean I have to ditch one for the sake of the other? Not necessarily.
MommieCan is part of my dream and vision. I am the happiest when I’m able to encourage and help women clarify who they are and where they are going (i.e. their identity and vision). There is nothing like the soul satisfaction of knowing your purpose and being passionate about it. That’s by design – God created us that way. ”For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 My personal mission is to inspire and release purpose and passion in all those around me. That’s why I love MommieCan.
I hope you’ll join me in this adventure. Send me your thoughts, ideas, let me know what helps, doesn’t and how we can improve. No more survival mode, Ladies! Jesus said, “I have come that you may have life and life to the full! ” John 10:10b . Yes, MommieCan!
